Wild Flowers in Little Marlow
You may have noticed a group of volunteers around the village recently, carrying out work in the Recreation ground and along Church Road. They were working on creating small wildflower patches in four locations, to help with improving biodiversity in the village and supporting our local wildlife. The pollinator patch preparation involved lifting the turf, sowing native seed to help restrict the re-growth of the grass, and next spring/summer we will hopefully be rewarded with a colourful and vital nectar source, buzzing with life. They are currently roped off to help with defining the area to help the grounds maintenance contractors avoid them when mowing. Margins have also been left to allow grass cutting around the patches, ensuring maximum road safety. We hope you support our work to increase our environmentally conscious operations in the parish and look forward to seeing the results of this project next year
