IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

A Flood Warning has been issued by the Environment Agency.

Flood Warning in force: River Thames at Bourne End.

Flooding is expected for: River Thames at Bourne End including Spade Oak Reach, Cockmarsh and Riversdale.

Immediate action required.

Property flooding is expected.

River levels have risen on the River Thames as a result of a period of sustained rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected later this afternoon 02/02/21, especially near properties closest to the river in Bourne End.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours and across the rest of the week. We expect river levels to remain high into the weekend.

We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area checking defences and clearing weed/trash screens.

Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.

This message will be updated this evening on 02/02/21, or as the situation changes.
